My Goals for 2025: Stronger, Smarter, Happier

My Goals for 2025: Stronger, Smarter, Happier

As we approach the end of 2024, it feels like the right time to set my goals for 2025. Next week, I’ll probably write a review of this year, but for now, I want to focus on what’s ahead.

Part 1

I’ve always been a thesis-driven person. This means I try to understand the rules of the world and my own preferences for living a great life within it. With that understanding, I form hypotheses and strategies that guide my actions in pursuing happiness. (Side note: I might write another piece soon exploring the Declaration of Independence’s idea of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”)

Based on my earlier “Aidan's Bucket List of Life,” my goals reflect what I care about most: creating impact by building my own stuff, supporting the people I love, and experiencing the beauty of the world.

Part 2

For 2025, my goal is to become stronger—so I can take care of myself and the people I love—smarter, by understanding more about myself, and happier overall. Here’s to a year of growth and fulfillment!

Work

  • Generate $1 million in revenue with our new crypto startup.
  • Convince someone I admire (I already have a few names in mind) to join our advisory board.
  • Recruit a top-tier professional I respect to join the company.

Family & Relationships

  • Take a vacation abroad with friends (Japan would be amazing).
  • Try or learn something new to enrich my romantic relationship—once the company feels more stable.
  • Be in a position to support my family financially.

Fun

  • Visit a country I haven’t been to before.

Just Past 70% of 2024

2024 has been a year of lessons and new beginnings. In the first part, I faced challenges with my startup in Saudi Arabia, learning the hard way that both internal decisions and uncontrollable external factors shape a venture's success. Though it didn’t work out, I gained valuable experience and connections. In the second part, I’ve been fortunate to start a new venture with a friend, developing models to process brainwave data. It’s an exciting and challenging path, and I’m hopeful for what’s to come.
